Hi guys,
Back again.
This time i am going to be doing a quick review about
Miss Peregrines Home For Peculiar Children by Ransom Riggs.
I have to say i loved loved love this book!!
I got it because everyone was saying how much they loved it and how good it was so i actually wanted to see what the fuss was about. And i have to say I'm so glad i did because it was brilliant!
Im only doing a quick review as i don't like to give things away and if i talk to much about it i might as well read you the book.
So basically you follow a boy called Jacob and he has had nightmares for as long as he can remember and his grandpa is the only one that understands because he kinda cause them. He used to tell him about this orphanage that he was at when he was younger and how the other children were peculiar. He actually had pictures, a girl hovering off the ground, a boy with a face painted on the back of his head to cover another mouth, a boy holding a boulder over his head and a few more.
His grandfather dies in the book and he takes it really hard and his mom and dad make him see a dr to try and help him through it. The dr actually suggests that if it will make him feel better to go to the island and see Miss Peregrine.
So he sets off to find this island where the orphanage is. His dad goes with him so he can make a book about bird, he likes to have different projects.
So he does actually find the orphanage and is disappointed to find that it is damaged and run down. Or is it?
Thats all i can really say without giving the entire book away! And as you know i HATE spoilers!!!!
But what i will say is that he finds the children and the headmistress and finds he is more comfortable than he realises with them...
Im sorry this is kinda a crap review but if you want to read it i will spoil it other wise and thats just no good at all!!
I gave this book a 6 out of 5 star rating as i loved it, think i read it in 2 days.
I defiantly recommend it guys. But i don't actually recommend it for the kindle... You cant see the pictures properly and there are a few letters you need to read and i had to guess what they said so that was a bit of a downer. So get a hard copy... Thats what I'm doing.
If you read it let me know what you think :)

Thirteen Reasons Why by Jay Asher
Hey guys...
Back again! This post is about Thirteen Reasons Why.
I had been looking at this book for so long and i had christmas money so i got it with that for my kindle.
Basically this book is about a girl that has killed her self and before she died she made these tapes and mailed them to the people that she has held responsible for her wanting to kill herself.
The story starts with this guy called Clay and he has received the box of tapes and is quite excited to find them on the door step as he gets home from school. So he opens it and finds the tapes and puts the first one not realising what it is. When he starts it he realises its Hannah Baker, the girl who killed her self a couple of weeks ago.
He keeps listening to them through out the night and finds with them a map with red stars on them and as the tapes go on shes tells them to follow the map and go where certain things happened to her. He does it because he thinks its his way of doing her last request and wants to understand hannah more.
Thats the long and short of the book. I actually read this book in one day... Not because i was really REALLY enjoying it more because i wanted to know the reasons that she killed her self! I was been nosey more than anything! Haha
I gave this book a 4 out of 5 star rating just because it does actually grab you but the reasons she gave for killing herself was really lame and disappointing in a way (not to sound evil) but if you guys read the book you will understand what i meant.
Let me know what you guys thought of it.

Warm Bodies by Isaac Marion
Hey guys,
Another book review from yours truly! :)
This is about warm bodies... I have to say i was intrigued by this book. I had read and watches reviews about it and found out it was going to be a film so i watched the trailer for the film and re read the description of the book and thought 'screw it, looks interesting and i have christmas money so ill get it' I'm actually glad i did. It was a good book.
Description, thank you amazon:
From the Back Cover
'R' is a zombie. He has no name, no memories and no pulse, but he has dreams. He is a little different from his fellow Dead.
Amongst the ruins of an abandoned city, R meets a girl. Her name is Julie and she is the opposite of everything he knows - warm and bright and very much alive, she is a blast of colour in a dreary grey landscape. For reasons he can't understand, R chooses to save Julie instead of eating her, and a tense yet strangely tender relationship begins.
This has never happened before. It breaks the rules and defies logic, but R is no longer content with life in the grave. He wants to breathe again, he wants to live, and Julie wants to help him. But their grim, rotting world won't be changed without a fight.
That is basically the long and short of if. Like you have read 'R' is a zombie. And he just spends his day in the airport just wondering around and kinda taking to his friend 'M' i say kinda because they are zombies and obviously they cant really talk. R meets this dead girl that actually becomes his wife and he finds him self having two kids forced on him but he does find himself caring about them so he keeps them around.
On one of the hunts (zombie food hunt) he comes across this group of people that of corse all the zombies rip to shreds and R eats the brain of a boy called Perry Kelvin and he finds him self having major flashbacks of his life and he feels really connected to him and actually saves his brain (yuk) for later so he can still relive his life thats when he meets Julie. She wants to kill him but actually hesitates. He ends up saving her and taking her to where he lives which is in a plane.
R is spending time with Julie he develops feelings for her. But i personally think its because of Perry's brain that he does, i meen he starts out having feelings because of Perry, but thats just me, he does keep having flashes of Perry's memories but thats what confused me as i didn't really know what life he was on about and then when i figured it out i had to start the section again.
R and Julie spend time with each other and slowly R is actually turning more human than zombie and Julie starts to like him and actually start to care about him.
She does realise that she needs to go home because her dad will be looking for her and if he finds her with R he will kill him but R wants to take her home regardless because all he wants to do is keep her safe!
The end is a bit un-satisfying but it does open the way for another book and i really hope there is another one as i would love to know what happens with R and Julie next :)
I don't really want to say anymore because i don't want to tell you the whole story coz i can feel that i can talk for ever about this book so ill shut up about it now. Hehe. And as i say over and over again I'm not about spoiler!
It is worth a read tho, i promise! Buy it!!
I have given this a 4 out of 5 star rating as some parts of the book did confuse me, the parts where Perry's memories keep popping up, he could have made that a bit more clear but i got there in the end! Lol! But do buy it, it had got a bit of gore in it as well, not a lot, but its not all lovey dovey (i hate those kinda books) as what I'm making it out to be

Goddess Interrupted (Goddess Test Book 2)
Hey guys,
Back again with yet another book review. This is about the second Goddess Test book.
I read the first one and loved it so i had to get the next one and see what happens.
In this book you meet Kate at the end of her 6 months away from Henry. She has been to Greece with James and looking forward to spending the winter/spring with her husband. But its not all that shes hoping for. Henry is really distant, not speaking to her, not even touching her... Which breaks her heart... For obvious reasons.
Calliope is living out her sentence that Kate gave her after killing all those girls before Kate. But some how she escapes and plans to reek havoc on the world and get her revenge on Henry and Kate. Not going to tell you too much because as you probably know by now im not about spoilers. They are no fun at all.
Ava (Aphrodite) is in the underworld with her and provides support while she and henry goes through this difficult time.
We also meet to infamous Persephone. Henry is kidnapped by Calliope and Persephone is the only one who know the location (it is a specific place but it would be a major spoiler for you guys... Yuk) as you can imagine Kate isnt that thrilled about meeting her sister for the first time. Something happens between her and henry that Kate is fuming about and actually considers leaving the underworld.
There is a big thing that happens in the book but as you all have gathered
I gave this a 4star rating. This is just as easy reading as the first one and keeps up with he pace of the first book. I do find that some books that follow on are rather boring or slow but i was really satisfied with the second book and so looking forward to the third... Bring on 26th February :)
Sending love to book world.

Goddess Test by Aimee Carter
Hey guys!!
Back again with a book review.
This is about The Goddess Test by Aimee Carter. I got this book because is was a kindle daily deal a few months ago and i just noticed it the other week and decided to read it. And I'm so glad i did as i throughly enjoyed it. Its such an easy read its great.
This is the 'Product Description' thank you amazon :)
It's always been just Kate and her mom—and her mother is dying. Her last wish? To move back to her childhood home. So Kate's going to start at a new school with no friends, no other family and the fear her mother won't live past the fall. Then she meets Henry. Dark. Tortured. And mesmerizing. He claims to be Hades, god of the Underworld—and if she accepts his bargain, he'll keep her mother alive while Kate tries to pass seven tests. Kate is sure he's crazy—until she sees him bring a girl back from the dead. Now saving her mother seems crazily possible. If she succeeds, she'll become Henry's future bride, and a goddess.
Thats the long and short of it. If I'm honest i cant really say any more than that.
I did really enjoy this book. Like i said before i got it because it was the daily deal for kindle at 99p so i thought why not... Ill give it a go.
It was really well written. You do find you self caring about Kate and her mom. Like i said its a real easy read. There is a major twist at the end that i wasn't actually expecting at all, been completely honest there. But once you actually figure out what shes been tested on your like 'oooooh, i knew that' well i was any way. Lol
I defiantly recommend this book to any fantasy readers and to any reader in fact it was that good. Im am currently reading the second book and cant wait to finish it to see what happens!
I will do a review on the second book when I've finished reading it so look out for it.
I give this book a five out of five stars as i just really enjoyed it and it felt like it could actually happen and be true. < I'm sad like that! Hehe
Hope you guys give it a go! Let me know what you think.
